Tigers Win Cambridge Open!
The Kingston University Taekwondo Tigers came back from the 2007
Cambridge Open having won a tremendous 11 medals from 12 fighters.
Congratulations
go to all the contestants for having put in so much effort in a
relatively short space of time (some have only been training since
October).

The Team with the Winner's Shield
Taekwondo
beginner Hesham Dar said: "As a beginner to Taekwondo,
this competition was a little nerving on the days leading up to
it. However once we arrived at the venue and familiarised ourselves
with the event, the focus was on competing with the skills we had
practiced in the few short months.
The fights were exciting to watch as well as participate in, and
everyone showed their support to their team. This first competition
was a lot of fun and a whole new experience to many of us, and for
me, one that I’d like to compete in again".

Welcome
to the LLTKD Homepage.
Here you'll be able to learn about Taekwondo in general,
as well as find out more about Master Lawrence and LLTKD Clubs.
Please
feel free to contact me with any queries or suggestions.
Taekwondo
is a Korean martial art with history extending over two thousand years.
Taekwondo first and foremost is a martial art with practical and useful
methods of self-defence.
In
1988 Seoul Olympics, Taekwondo was introduced as a demonstration sport.
Since then, the competition/sport side of the martial art has become increasingly
popular. In Master Lawrence’s Taekwondo clubs, you have the opportunity
to learn both the martial art, whilst practicing the sport.
Master
Lawrence has clubs running from Sunday to Thursday; turn to the LLTKD
Clubs page for your nearest venue. Meet the great team of instructors
and if you have any queries, please click here.
LLTKD is
