like. Please feel free to join us
meeting at midday. See www.ma-regonline.com
for more info.
Gradings...
Well done to everyone who passed their dan gradings at the beginning of December;
- Rob - 3rd dan
- Michael - 1st dan
- Kerry - 1st dan
- Heena - 1st dan
... and mustn't forget all the coloured belts who did very very at their gradings at
TASIS, Marlborough and Stag Lane!
All
Grades Seminar Workshop, Swanmore on
29th October.
Again, another fantastic seminar. Thanks to the instructors who were great
and worked really hard. As with last year it was a fantastic day. We spent
the whole day practicing kyorgi, patterns,
self-defence or a combination of all three, and quite a few took up the
opportunity for a 15 minute session with the Physio.
We'll be looking forward to the 2012 seminar!
Kukkiwon at the Thames
Festival
The weekend of 10th & 11th September saw the Kukkiwon
demonstration team perform 4 fantastic demonstations
over the two days in front of packed crowds. Students and instructors from
LLTKD attended on the Saturday and met with Taekwondo-ists
from all over the UK and Korea.
This
was the fifth year that the Korean Cultural Centre UK (KCCUK) have arranged for Taekwondo to be brought to the Thames
Festival, and as usual the Taekwondo show did not disappoint!
Chungdokwan
GB 30th Anniversary Championships - 31st March & 1st April 2012

two day tournament. Make sure you've got the date in your diary!
Kingston

You'll also be able to find us at the Freshers
Fair at Kingston University at the end of September.
Training in Hong Kong
Specials thanks go to our Chungdokwan friends in Hong Kong who welcomed us
to train with them and enjoy two seminars from GM Park. We'd love to go
back with a team... so watch this space...
Foreigners
Instructor Course, Kukkiwon, Korea
In June, Lindsey went to the home of Tae Kwon Do, the Kukkiwon
and completed a week long Foreigners Instructor Course. Read her account of
the trip on the Events page.
Congratulations
to our new Black Belts:
Well done to Tony, Ed, Johan, Harish, Branusha, Sangeethan who all successfully passed their 1st dan grading and Ushma and Amisha who are now 2nd dans.
We're

Easter
Break
We're
off at all the clubs for the Easter break and will be back at Stag Lane on
Wednesday 27th April, TASIS on Sunday 1st May, and Marlborough on Tuesday
3rd May. Additional sessions at Kingston are being arranged.
Grand
Master Park Hae Man's Visit
Most of the club were out in force for GM Park's seminar on 14th April -
even the guys from the centre popped up to see what it was all about. As
usual GM Park impressed us with this power and spirit, and gave us quite a
few things to fine tune within our techniques. Dinner afterwards was also
fun, although we ended in the wrong one (sorry to the restaurant that we'd
booked!).
Congratulations
to:
Johnathan, Kavishan,
Tyrone and Op who all passed their black belt grading on 5th December. Well
done!
No
Training on...
We break for half terms so we're not training at TASIS on Sunday 17th
October or Thursday 21st October, and there'll be no training at
Marlborough Primary on Tuesday 26th October or at Stag Lane on Wednesday
27th October.
*Monday 11th October*
Due to a parents evening at the school, training will be from 8-10pm, but
beforehand the club will be bowling at the Rotunda.
It was
great to see so many people new and old back at training. Keep it up guys!
We're
back-
all our classes have now resumed and the Kingston University club will be back up and running as of Monday 27th September. We will
be in a *new* location; Tiffin Boys School, which is near to the Kingston
Cromwell Road bus station. We hope to see you all there!
Don't
forget...
You can keep up to date with us on Facebook and Twitter
Hungary 2010
There
were 23 of us this year who were brave enough to
attend the Hungary training camp. As in previous years, we all had a great
time, training three times a day, seeing old friends and making new ones.
Next year stands to be an even bigger camp!
Korea
Trip
Six of
us visited the home of Taekwondo; Korea and had a fantastic time. Read more
about our trip here.
Dan
Grading Seminar and Dan Grading
Congratulations
to those who took and passed their dan grading
this year, namely Hiba, Janusha,
Sachin, Sanjiv.
Kingston
Uni Sports Dinner
Well
Done to everyone who got awards at this year's Sports Awards and especially
to Tony who won Sportsman of the Year - a really excellent achievement!

Most,
but certainly not all of the Kingston University Taekwondo Club!
Chungdokwan
National Championships, March
The
students really did us proud by coming second in the sparring competition and
coming home with 8 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze medals - in addition to the
medals won in the patterns competition. An excellent effort!
